How the statistics are calculated
- Frequency: how many times a number was drawn in the analysed draws.
- Hot and cold: the numbers with the highest and the lowest frequency; ties go to the number drawn most recently.
- Overdue: how many draws have passed since a number was last drawn.
- Expected frequency: analysed draws × main numbers per draw ÷ size of the number pool.
What statistics can and cannot tell you
In a fair lottery every combination has the same probability in every draw, so short-term deviations are normal. The χ² test in Lotto Simulator checks whether a draw history is consistent with fair, uniform draws. Statistics help you explore past results — they do not predict the next draw.

Frequently asked questions
What are hot and cold lottery numbers?
Hot numbers were drawn most often in the analysed period and cold numbers least often. They describe the past and do not change the probability of any number in the next draw.
What does «overdue» mean?
An overdue number has not been drawn for many draws. Because draws are independent, an overdue number is not «due» to appear.
Why does the number of analysed draws differ between lotteries?
Each lottery uses the recent official results that Lotto Simulator shows in its free version for that game. Longer histories are available in the app.
